euspen International Conference | June, 2026

The ADAM project hosted a workshop at the 26th euspen International Conference and Exhibition in Krakow, Poland on June 8, 2026, 14:00-17:00. The workshop agenda can be found here. In addition, several posters on project progress were presented at the conference.

3DMC Metrology Webinar | May 8, 2026

The ADAM project was presented at the Metrology Webinar 3DMC 2026 – Previewing the Latest Advances in 3D Metrology, held online May 8, 2026. Presentations were made from speakers drawn from the global 3DMC community and representing organizations which have all previously presented at the 3DMC conference. They told about their current 3D metrology projects and the progress they are making with these. Further information including a recording of the webinar can be found here.

European Workshop on Accelerator Alignment 2026 | March, 2026

Aims of the ADAM project were presented at fourth European Workshop on Accelerator Alignment (EUWAA) hosted by CERN in Switzerland, March 31-April 2, 2026.

The EUWAA workshop provided a forum for building a coordinated European approach to Accelerator, Detector, and Beamline alignment. It brought together research, industry, and the scientific community to share experience, define priorities, and explore new methods - from instrumentation and measurement to AI and workforce development - shaping the skills and capacity Europe needs for the future. The agenda as well as further information can be found here.

BIEMH 2026 | March, 2026

During the BIEMH - Bienal Internacional de Máquina-Herramienta / International Machine-Tools Exhibition, held March 2-6, 2026 in Bilbao, the ADAM project was presented to a wide range of visitors, sharing how digital-metrological twins are shaping the future of advanced manufacturing. It was great to see the interest in how we are improving measurement reliability and uncertainty evaluation for complex freeform geometries. At the same time, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence showcased, among other cutting-edge solutions, the LS-C-4.8 sensor, the same technology being used by Tekniker and IDEKO Research Center within the project. A perfect example of how research and industry are moving forward together.

3D CMM Workshop on Freeforms and Digital Twins | February 5, 2026

Knowledge day for metrology experts and industrial engineers

VSL hosted a workshop on February 5, 13:30-17:30, featuring talks from experts on dimensional metrology using 3D coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) with focus on advanced tactile measurements on freeform geometries and the application of digital twins (e.g. virtual CMMs and D-MTs). In addition, early outcomes of the ADAM project were presented on the development and usage of virtual and physical freeform measurement standards. During the workshop there were opportunities for meeting the experts, networking, demonstrations and lab tours.
